CLASH-VLT: Abell S1063

Using the CLASH-VLT survey, we assembled an unprecedented sample of 1234 spectroscopically confirmed members in Abell~S1063, finding a dynamically complex structure at z_cl=0.3457 with velocity dispersion \sigma_v=1380 -32 +26 km s^-1. We investigate cluster environmental and dynamical effects by analysing projected phase-space diagram orbits as function galaxy spectral properties. classify galaxies according to presence strength [OII] emission line, H$\delta$ absorption colours. relationship between classes their position diagram. analyse separately red blue orbits. By correlating observed positions velocities constructed from simulations, constrain accretion redshift different types. Passive are mainly located virialised region, while emission-line outside r_200, accreted later into cluster. Emission-lines post-starbursts show asymmetric distribution within first being prominent Delta_v/sigma <~-1.5$, second Delta_v/ sigma >~ 1.5, suggesting that backsplash lie large positive velocities. find low-mass passive before high-mass ones. This suggests observe passives only early galaxies, had time quench star formation. also move on more radial than galaxies. can be explained if infalling remain moving tangential
